I’d noticed that too. And the banner is all about telling the world that the Greek economy needs to be more competitive. Well, I suppose some of the bureaucrats holed up in the ministry decided to seize the initiative and to allow a blast of fresh air enter the building. It must have been really suffocating in there with the stink of stale cigarette smoke and perfume.
The funny thing is that not long after I posted it, the banner came down. Now there are two new ones, not in the middle, but to the left and right. They’ve also put it in English: “Building a competitive Greece”. But they left out the bit about quality.
